Terms & Conditions

Last Updated: 12 May 2025  ·  Effective Date: 12 May 2025

These terms govern your use of the Ratri website and the watch repair and restoration services we provide. Please read them before submitting an enquiry or leaving a watch in our care. Using our site or services indicates your acceptance of these terms.

1. Definitions

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or engaging our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a service agreement. If you are acting on behalf of another person or company, you warrant that you have authority to do so.

3. Service Description

Ratri provides the following watch services at our Bangkok workshop:

Services are available to clients in person at our workshop and by prior arrangement for delivery of watches. We currently serve clients located in Thailand. Service availability may be limited during public holidays or workshop closures, which will be communicated on our website or by email.

4. Service Terms

Scope and changes: The service scope is agreed at intake. If additional work is identified during service, we will contact you with a quote before proceeding. No additional work is undertaken without your explicit agreement.

Timelines: Estimated timelines are provided at intake and are indicative. Where delays occur — for example, due to parts sourcing — we will inform you as soon as possible. We are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.

Care of watches: Watches in our care are stored individually and securely. We take reasonable precautions to prevent loss or damage. In the unlikely event of loss or damage caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the service fee paid.

Collection: Clients are responsible for collecting their watch within 60 days of completion notification. After this period, storage charges may apply. After 6 months, uncollected watches may be treated as abandoned property under applicable Thai law.

5. Payment Terms

All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is due upon collection unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash and bank transfer. The base service fee is charged as agreed at intake. Any additional parts or work agreed during the service are charged separately. Receipts are provided on request.

Cancellation: If you cancel a service after work has begun, you will be charged for the work completed to that point, including any parts already sourced on your behalf.

6. Client Responsibilities

When leaving a watch with us, you confirm that:

7. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, images, and design — belongs to Ratri or is used with permission. You may view and share content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. Reproduction for commercial use is not permitted without our written consent.

8. Disclaimers

Watch repair involves inherent uncertainties, particularly for older movements. We will share our professional assessment and be transparent about risks before work begins. We do not offer unconditional performance outcomes. Results described on our website are representative and not a commitment to identical outcomes for every watch.

Our website is provided "as is". We make reasonable efforts to keep information current but do not warrant its completeness or accuracy at all times.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Thai law, our total liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses. This limitation does not apply to liability arising from gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Ratri against claims, losses, or costs arising from your breach of these terms or from inaccurate information you have provided to us.

11. Termination

Either party may withdraw from a service arrangement prior to work commencing. Once work has begun, the provisions of Section 5 (Cancellation) apply. Ratri reserves the right to decline a service if, after assessment, we determine that the work would carry an unreasonable risk to the watch or is outside our area of expertise.

12. Dispute Resolution

We encourage you to contact us directly if you have a concern. Most issues can be resolved through conversation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Thai courts. These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, including the Civil and Commercial Code and applicable consumer protection legislation.

13. General Provisions

These terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our services. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not constitute a waiver of that right. These terms may not be assigned by you without our written consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be published on our website with an updated date. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
